About Pizza Call

Good dough without the guesswork, with the right maths behind it.

Pizza Call is a free, independent project: a pizza-dough calculator and a pizza-night planner, in Italian and English. No account, no ads. We build it because we love making pizza at home and wanted a tool that is honest, precise and simple to use.

Pizza Call grew out of a common frustration: making pizza at home is full of numbers, and most of the advice out there is rough guesswork. How much yeast? How much water? Which flour? Serious answers exist, but they are scattered across standards, forums and books. We gathered them and turned them into two tools that do the arithmetic for you.

What you'll find here

  • The dough calculator. Pick a style (napoletana, Roman, teglia, pala), say how many pizzas and for when, and we give you the quantities to the gram plus a fermentation schedule. The maths is the real thing: see the method.
  • The pizza-night planner. How many pizzas your guests need, who eats what, and a ready-made shopping list.
  • The guides. Hydration, yeast, flour strength, maturation — explained practically, with the sources in plain sight.

How we work

We are a small, focused project. We don't sell subscriptions, we don't show banners, and we don't ask for your email to use the tool. Articles are bylined to the Pizza Call team: we don't invent a fake pizzaiolo with a stock-photo face, because trust is built by telling things straight. What we know, we write down, with the sources next to it, and we correct it when needed.

The app is free and will stay free. If we ever add affiliate links for flour or ovens, we'll say so clearly, at the top of the article. Our rules are written in the editorial standards.

Spotted a mistake, or have an idea? There's a button inside the app to send us a message. We read every one.
